From Waverley and Princes Street: Walk towards the West End past Fraser's Department Store at the end of Princes Street. Turn right onto Queensferry Street. Take the third on the left, which is Melville Street. Carry along Melville Street until you see the statue in the centre of the road. The surrounding buildings are Melville Crescent
From Haymarket Station: Walk towards Princes Street, along West Maitland Street and take the second street on the left (Manor Place) Take the second on the right which into Melville Street until you see a statue in the centre of the road. The surrounding buildings are Melville Crescent.
